Texas A&M University's "Do You Wonder?" Bus Tour
What: Texas A&M University's "Do You Wonder?" bus tour offers college preparation sessions to high school students throughout the state of Texas. The bus tour will help high school students enhance their understanding of how to prepare for college and how it can make a difference in their lives.
Why: The growth in the state's population combined with increases in high school dropout rates have resulted in the need for an improved awareness about the importance of a higher education and the long-term view of its benefits. With its history of land-grant status, Texas A&M is committed to helping the state's residents have better access to higher education.
How: Once on a high school campus, the student tour begins with a brief introduction and overview followed by a registration period. The students then attend a session on how to properly prepare for the opportunity to attend any institution of higher education (trade school, community college, junior college or four-year university). During this session, the students will have the opportunity to indicate their interest in receiving more information on the five key parts of applying to an institution of higher education.
